Let's explore how to download character cards and JSON files on various platforms.
If you have an AI character on character.ai and you'd love to bring him to Poly Web, then you'll need an extension called CAI Tools, which can be downloaded for Chrome and Firefox.
Here's the link:
After installing the extension, follow these steps:
Open the character you want to import on character.ai. You will find the CAI Tools button in the upper right corner of the page.
Click on the "CAI Tools" button and you will see several options. You will need to download either a json or png file.
The json file only contains text for character descriptions/interactions. After importing, you will need to upload or generate an image of the character on Poly Web.
A PNG file, also known as a "character card", is commonly used between Poly Web and other AI websites/UI programs. It contains images and character description data.
Open the PygmalionAI website. On the Explore page, select a character you like (e.g., Makima). Click on the character.
After opening the character page, click on the option indicated by the arrow.
You'll see two options; select "Raw JSON" to download the JSON file of the chosen character.
Open the Chub website. You can either log in or enter as a guest.
Once on the site, navigate to the Character interface and find a character you like.
Click on the character.
Click the "JSON" button to download the JSON file.
This site only supports exporting characters you have created.
Open your personal panel, click on "My Creation," then click "Create a bot."
Fill in the character information on this page.
After completing the character information, click "Export" to export and download the JSON file.
Open the VenusAI website and select a character you like (e.g., one of the characters listed).
After opening the character page, click on the "View Profile" option indicated by the arrow.
On the detailed page, click the download icon indicated by the arrow.
Select "Character JSON file" to download the JSON file of the character.
